Hi, I'm Grace.

And this is my blog. If you're reading this you probably already know me, but in case you don't, here's a little bit about myself...

I'm a wife.  I married my best friend in 2005, and we've had a heck of a ride so far.  From college to the US Army to life as new parents in Dublin, we've been through a lot in 5 short years. We have known each other for 10 years and dated for 8 of those.  It wasn't love at first sight for either of us but who wants to be a cliche anyways? :)  He's smart, kind, thoughtful, hilarious, creative, handsome - I'm one lucky gal to have such an amazing partner in life.  And you're lucky because he has a blog and you can read all about him, too!

I'm a mother.  It's still surreal to say that!  I have an 11 month old daughter and she's the most amazing thing that's every happened to us.  She makes my heart melt about 10,000 times a day - she's full of joy and laughter and love and it's hard to remember what life was like before she arrived.  I love watching her develop - it's amazing.  I have a hard time not looking forward to what's next for her - I keep reminding myself to enjoy every second when it's here because, as I'm learning already, time flies by too fast.

I'm a sister to three of the best people I know.  I have a sister who knows me better than anyone and two brothers who are both the best brothers in the world.  Aren't I diplomatic?  My siblings make me laugh and keep me grounded - and humble!  We have fun together but lately the problem is that we're not together enough.

I'm a daughter. I am lucky enough to have two of the most wonderful parents in the world.  I was also blessed to have a third amazing parental figure in my life - our mother of the heart, as she always said - and she now lives on in my heart and the hearts of all those who loved her.  My parents are the most selfless people I know and I often feel I don't deserve them.  I love that I now call them my friends as well as my parents.

I'm in my twenties and that's all I'll say about that.  I'm Irish born but spent most of my life in the US.  I miss my friends who are Stateside - I wish I could just buy a big house, fly them all over and have college part 2, but husbands and babies make that a little hard to swing.  Speaking of college, I studied media (advertising/film/etc) and French in college in Washington D.C. and have developed a love of graphic design in my post-college years. I work for my parents and couldn't wish for better bosses!  I love ballet, music, film, musicals, theatre, singing, reading, traveling.  I love to cook, I have a budding interest in photography and I really wish I knew how to knit and sew.  I created this blog because my sister pestered me to.  HA!  Just kidding...sort of.  I created this blog to keep in touch with my family and friends and share a little about the things that make me happy in our life in Dublin.
